Nankang Sportnex AS-2+ is a true winner of wet weather conditions. The amazing test results on both Tuulilasi and Tekniikan Maailma show that Nankang is among the best of the tyre world, while still affordable.

 

Fourth place and amazing 8.6 points from the great summer tyre test of Tuulilasi

Nankang Sportnex AS-2+ placed on the excellent fourth place in a tyre test conducted by Tuulilasi (Tuulilasi 3/2017). Nankang fared especially well in rainy weather. Tuulilasi even stated: “Especially the wet grip is exciting. The driving behaviour of the tyre in rainy weather is commendably neutral.” Nankang did evenly well across all the other aspects as well, receiving a minimum of 8 points for each test. Due to the consistent performance, Nankang was left behind by the test winner only by half a point.

Nankang was clearly the most affordable tyre in the test, which Tuulilasi noted as well. Tuulilasi mentioned that Nankang cost up to 50 euros less than the second most inexpensive tyre in the test, and the most expensive tyre in the test was as much as 79% more expensive than Nankang. Regardless of the inexpensive price, Nankang was successfully fourth in the test, only half a point behind the test winner. The inexpensive price was not considered in the grading.

 

Excellent success in the big summer tyre test of Tekniikan Maailma

Nankang Sportnex AS-2+ was a true success story in the summer tyre test of Tekniikan Maailma (8/2016) as it fared excellently among the other much more expensive brand tyres. In the end, the grade difference between Nankang and Michelin was only 0.4 points. Nankang received the grade 8.1 while Michelin received 8.5. The difference was nearly non-existent.

The result is a treat for all drivers who wish to purchase affordable summer tyres and trust the tyres to be safe. Tekniikan Maailma’s test was first and foremost emphasizing the safety of the tyres. Nankang received praises for aspects related to safety, such as the wet grip and steerability on dry. 

Nankang’s braking traction on wet is good

Nankang’s braking traction on wet received the grade 9 while Michelin, for example, received only 8. Nankang was better than Michelin also in braking on wet. For driving traction on wet and steerability on dry, Nankang and Michelin received the same grade.  

AS-2 Sportnex fared also well in the tests conducted by the high-level test centre TÜV SUD. In the test, the tyre is compared with three leading tyre brands in areas such as traction on dry and wet, driving feel, noise level and rolling resistance.

AS-2 Sportnex received the TÜV SUD quality marking as a result of the successful test.
