SteyrTek Bazooka Bead Seater – seat the bead with a single shot

Stubborn tyres no longer hold up the job. The SteyrTek Bazooka Bead Seater releases the compressed air stored in its 9-litre aluminium tank with a single pull of the trigger, straight into the gap between tyre and rim, and the bead snaps into place in seconds. It is an essential tool for every workshop, tyre shop and mobile tyre fitter.

A problem every tyre shop knows
A tyre that has been stored flat is often hard to get onto the rim. On today’s wide rims and low-profile tyres, air from the valve escapes before the bead has a chance to seal. The SteyrTek Bazooka solves this with a powerful blast of air that pushes the bead against the rim flange in one go. One of the most frustrating and time-consuming jobs in the tyre shop becomes a quick routine.

Why a bazooka-style bead seater?
On the bazooka design, the tank and nozzle sit in line, and the tool is held with both hands: one on the pistol grip under the tank and the other on the rubber-coated nozzle grip. The grip is secure, and the nozzle stays exactly where you put it, even at the moment of release. The trigger is quick and easy to use, with no valve to turn. That is why many professionals find the bazooka style the easiest bead seater to handle. The long nozzle also keeps your hands and face at a safe distance from the tyre.

Features

  • Trigger release: fast, controlled and easy to use
  • Ergonomic two-handed grip with pistol grip and rubber-coated nozzle grip
  • Long, shaped nozzle that directs the air precisely between bead and rim
  • Lightweight, corrosion-resistant aluminium tank that withstands damp workshop conditions and keeps the weight down
  • Heavy-duty pressure tank rated to a maximum of 16 bar, well above the 3–8 bar working range. The tank has a generous safety margin for demanding everyday use.
  • Light at just 4.2 kg, so it travels easily in a service van
  • CE marked with EU declaration of conformity

How to use

Fill the tank with compressed air to the required pressure (3–8 bar). Place the nozzle between the tyre bead and the rim flange. Hold the tool firmly with both hands and pull the trigger. The blast of air seats the bead. Finally, inflate the tyre to the correct pressure.

Tip: For best results, inflate the tyre through the valve at the same time. If the bead doesn’t seat on the first attempt, increase the tank pressure within the working range and repeat.

Note! Hold the bead seater firmly in place when firing. If the tool is pushed backwards by the force of the blast, the bead may not seat on the first attempt. Always wear safety glasses and hearing protection.

Pays for itself in the first week
