SteyrTek ST-XW-10A Bead Seater – power for heavy vehicle tyres
When the tyre is big and the rim is wide, you need plenty of air. At the push of a button, the SteyrTek ST-XW-10A Bead Seater releases a huge volume of air from its 36-litre aluminium tank, straight into the gap between tyre and rim, and even a large tyre seats in seconds. It is designed especially for heavy vehicle tyres, but handles car and van tyres just as well. An essential tool for every workshop and tyre shop.
A problem every tyre shop knows
A tyre that has been stored flat is often hard to get onto the rim, and on heavy vehicles the problem is even worse. The gap between a large tyre and a wide rim is so big that air from the valve escapes before the bead has a chance to seal. The SteyrTek ST-XW-10A solves this with a large, powerful blast of air that pushes the bead against the rim flange in one go. One of the heaviest and most time-consuming jobs in tyre fitting becomes a quick routine.
Big tank for big tyres
A bead seater’s power depends on how much air the tank holds. The 36-litre tank delivers enough air even for the largest tyres, where smaller bead seaters fall short. Car and van tyres need less pressure, so one tool covers everything your workshop handles. The push-button release opens the valve in an instant, so the full volume of air is released at once with maximum force.

How to use
Fill the tank with compressed air to the required pressure (3–8 bar) and check the pressure on the gauge. Place the nozzle between the tyre bead and the rim flange. Hold the tool firmly in place and press the release button. The blast of air seats the bead. Finally, inflate the tyre to the correct pressure.Tip: For best results, inflate the tyre through the valve at the same time. If the bead doesn’t seat on the first attempt, increase the tank pressure within the working range and repeat.
Note! Hold the bead seater firmly in place when firing. If the tool is pushed backwards by the force of the blast, the bead may not seat on the first attempt. Always wear safety glasses and hearing protection.
Pays for itself in the first week
Every tyre that seats first time saves minutes and frustration. On heavy vehicles, the savings are even greater. The SteyrTek ST-XW-10A Bead Seater pays for itself in saved labour time within the very first week.
