Plastic mounting/demounting head for a tyre changer. The plastic head replaces the metal head to prevent aluminium wheels from being scratched during the mounting and demounting processes. Although the plastic head helps to keep the alu wheels in a better shape, it's naturally less durable than a metal head and breaks more easily when bent with a tyre iron. The guarantee does not cover a mounting/demounting head broken in use.

If you don't want to replace the whole metal mounting/demounting head with a plastic one, you can protect alu wheels from scratches by purchasing plastic covers for the metal head.
